About PollingRateTestC — Free Polling Rate Tests for Mouse, Keyboard & Controller

We build free, browser-based polling rate testing tools that give competitive gamers and hardware enthusiasts accurate Hz readings in under 10 seconds — no download, no signup, no tracking.

Who We Are

PollingRateTestC is a free gaming peripheral testing platform launched in 2025. We provide browser-based tools that measure the polling rate (Hz) of mice, keyboards, and controllers in real time, using the browser’s native input event APIs.

Our team combines competitive gaming experience, web development expertise, and hands-on hardware testing. We built this site because existing polling rate tools were inaccurate, ad-heavy, or required a software installation just to answer one simple question: is my device running at the Hz it claims?

Today, PollingRateTestC covers six measurement tools — mouse polling rate, keyboard polling rate, controller polling rate, CPS test, scroll rate test, and reaction time test — all free, all in your browser, all validated against real hardware.

What PollingRateTestC Offers

Mouse Polling Rate Test

Check your gaming mouse Hz from 125Hz up to 8000Hz. Verify Logitech, Razer, SteelSeries, Zowie, Glorious, and all other brands against their advertised specs.

Keyboard Polling Rate Test

Measure how fast your keyboard reports keystrokes. Critical for typists pushing 100+ WPM and competitive gamers who need frame-perfect input registration.

Controller Polling Rate Test

The only free browser-based gamepad Hz checker. Works with PS5 DualSense, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch Pro, Steam Deck, 8BitDo, GameSir, and generic USB controllers.

CPS Test

Measure your clicks per second in 1s, 5s, 10s, 30s, and 60s modes. Track consistency and compare your click speed across sessions.

Our Core Principles

1. Accuracy Over Everything

Every tool we publish is validated against vendor software — Razer Synapse, Logitech G HUB, Corsair iCUE, and SteelSeries GG. We use the browser’s getCoalescedEvents() API to capture every input sample at high polling rates, not just the throttled events most sites rely on. If our result differs from your vendor software, we explain exactly why — USB port quality, browser throttling, or system CPU load.

2. Privacy by Design

Every test runs entirely in your browser. Your mouse movements, click data, keystrokes, and controller inputs never leave your device. We collect no personal data during testing. We do not use behavioral tracking, fingerprinting, or cross-site ad cookies. Read our full privacy policy for details.

3. Always Free

All six tools are free and will remain free. We sustain the site through contextual display advertising. We do not sell hardware, we do not gate features behind paywalls, and we do not hide accurate results behind account creation.

4. Works Everywhere

Every tool works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Brave on Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS. No driver installation. No admin permissions. No browser extension. Open the page, generate input, read your Hz.

Our Expertise and Testing Standards

Our team has hands-on testing experience with:

  • 40+ gaming mice across Logitech, Razer, Corsair, SteelSeries, Zowie, Glorious, Finalmouse, and Pulsar
  • 25+ keyboards including Wooting, Ducky, Keychron, ASUS ROG, and HyperX
  • 15+ controllers including PS5 DualSense, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch Pro, Steam Deck, and 8BitDo pro series
  • 10+ years of competitive gaming across CS:GO, CS2, Valorant, Overwatch 2, and Apex Legends

How We Validate Every Tool

Before we publish any tool, it passes three stages of validation:

  1. Synthetic accuracy testing — We simulate input at known polling rates (125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1000Hz, 2000Hz, 4000Hz, 8000Hz) and confirm our measurement lands within ±5% of the target value.
  2. Vendor software cross-check — We test real devices (Razer Viper V3 Pro, Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2, Xbox Elite Series 2, PS5 DualSense) and compare our browser-measured Hz against the manufacturer’s own software readouts.
  3. Community testing — We test across diverse hardware configurations — different CPUs, USB hubs, operating systems, and browser versions — before public release.

What Makes Us Different From Other Polling Rate Test Sites

Feature PollingRateTestC Most Competitors
Uses getCoalescedEvents() for high-Hz accuracy Yes No — misses samples above 500Hz
Controller / gamepad polling rate test Yes — browser-based Almost never available
Keyboard polling rate test Yes Rarely
Validates against vendor software Yes — continuously Rarely
No behavioral tracking or fingerprinting Yes Mixed — many use ad trackers
Full Hz range: 125Hz to 8000Hz Yes Most cap at 1000Hz

Editorial Standards

Every article and guide on PollingRateTestC is written by team members with direct hands-on experience with the hardware being discussed. We verify every specification claim against the manufacturer’s official documentation before publishing. We update content when:

  • A peripheral receives a firmware update that changes its polling rate behavior
  • Browser APIs we use (PointerEvents API, Gamepad API) update their behavior
  • New hardware launches and changes the competitive landscape
  • A reader identifies a factual error — we correct and credit promptly
