Last updated: June 9, 2026  ·  Effective date: August 15, 2025

Summary — What You Need to Know

  • We do not collect personal data unless you contact us directly via email or our contact form.
  • All polling rate tests run entirely in your browser. Your mouse movements, click data, keystrokes, and controller inputs never leave your device.
  • We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings.
  • We use privacy-respecting anonymous analytics to count page visits. No fingerprinting, no behavioral profiling, no individual tracking.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party.
  • You have rights under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws. See Section 9 for details.

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to PollingRateTestC, accessible at https://pollingratetestc.com (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the Site”). We are a small editorial team that provides free browser-based polling rate testing tools for gaming peripherals including mice, keyboards, and controllers.

For privacy questions or data requests, contact us at privacy@pollingratetestc.com or visit our contact page.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide Directly

  • Email correspondence — when you email us, we receive your email address and message content.
  • Contact form submissions — we collect your name, email address, selected subject, and message text when you use our contact form.

We use this data solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists or share this data with third parties.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

  • Server logs — our web host automatically records standard access logs including IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, and timestamp. We retain these logs for 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then delete them.
  • Anonymous analytics — we use privacy-first analytics to count aggregate page views and approximate geographic region (country level). We do not track individual users across sessions, do not create user profiles, and do not share this data with ad networks.

2.3 Data We Never Collect

  • Your actual test results — mouse movements, click patterns, keystroke data, controller input, and polling rate readings all exist only in your browser memory and are discarded when you close or reload the tab.
  • Device fingerprints or browser fingerprints.
  • Account credentials — we do not offer user accounts.
  • Payment information — all tools are free.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser cookies and local storage only for:

  • Functional preferences — if you select a theme or test duration preference, we save that choice locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device and is not shared with anyone.
  • Google AdSense advertising cookies — see Section 5 below for full details.

We do not use session tracking cookies, login cookies, or cross-site behavioral tracking cookies for our own purposes.

5. Advertising — Google AdSense Disclosure

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this website. Google AdSense is an advertising service provided by Google LLC.

How Google AdSense Works

Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the internet. This allows Google to display ads that are relevant to your interests.

What the DoubleClick DART Cookie Does

  • It enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • It is set by Google in the doubleclick.net domain.
  • It is used for interest-based advertising and frequency capping.

Your Advertising Choices

  • Opt out of personalized advertising — visit Google Ads Settings to manage your ad preferences or opt out of interest-based ads.
  • Opt out via NAI — visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
  • Block ads entirely — use any browser ad-blocker extension. We do not restrict access to users who block ads.

Google’s use of advertising cookies is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. To learn more about how Google uses data when you use our site, visit How Google uses data from sites that use our services.
